Very nice application that does pretty timelines and is scriptable, i.e. imports all birthdays from address book and builds a timeline. Very promising, but still lacks some features like multi-page layout (grayed out) or universal date entry (only american entry right now, which is annoying for german users). Keep up the good work!

I really like this program. It's simple and straightforward and makes nice looking timelines. Here are my suggestions: divide the screen so you can have one timeline with more than one "category" of events listed above and below. I wanted to have certain "banners" (representing eras) with events or historical figures listed underneath them, but the events position themselves automatically in a haphazard way. There are certain events that need to stay on top.

This is a wonderful piece of software! It is just what I was looking for.

I wish that it had the ability for multiple timelines in paralell. This would help with makeing visually accessible comparisons (imagine country histories). Also, since I use this software for school, it would be great if there were a section for notes on each event and to be able to footnote events (for references and comments).

Great work!

Wonderful! Exactly what I needed in terms of demonstrating chronological events for presentation and review purposes. This is not a project management app, it is for those historical presentations.

As a (french) graphic designer, this app may help a lot. This idea is very smart.

Still there is some major improvements to archieve. FIrst, let's try to do a maximum of work with the software itself and without the need of Excel (please give a nice aqualicious interface). I wish to be abble to change the font. I beg for more stability. I wish to be abble to have the timeline in two horizontal lines (slipt the A4 by 2). I wish to export in native Adobe Illustrator or EPS (converting PDF is boring). Is there a way to avoid text overlaps?

May I choose between several kind of strokes?

More ideas will come later.

Hey ! Despite everything I said, it's a great start. Keep deeding !

Timeline is stable and intuitive to use. I've been using it with students (teaching Tragedy in the English Literature paper) and the effect of seeing the history of the genre graphically displayed is enlightening. I'd say it's the only way to grok historical trajectories, and it's really useful to have such a simple tool to do it on OS X.
