iKey is an essential utility and incredibly powerful tool for OS X that can eliminate repetitive actions. iKey allows creation of shortcuts that perform an action or sequence of actions each of which can be launched by key combinations or menu or event. This easy to use macro/automation utility can save time, typing and hundreds of clicks everyday. Avoid carpal tunnel, get more accomplished and have fun with iKey. I have been using iKey for a year. Just recently it is showing up corrupted characters.. Can't figure out what could possibly be the cause of this... Do I have to reinstall all the program and reconfigure the entire thing... AN example: a website address: Any "colon" ":" will show up as a "+" symbol and any "_" will become an "=" sign. and so on... Just so very strange... Any advice/suggestions greatly welcomed! Thanks |

iKey continues to be my tool of choice for automation on OS X and I have used them all. I use it more time per day then any other application. In my workflow it is what connects Photoshop and Mail and Safari and other Apps. The amount of typing and mousing it saves me is incalculable. The recent usb enhancement allows me use my graphics tablet for lots of macros too. Top flight utility. Thanks to these shareware folk who work hard to make our lives easier. |

This program has some wonderful features. Unfortunately, it has some bugs which make it too painful to use. |

As a consultant, i recommend ikey to my clients who need macros for production work. quickeys (which i own) isn't what it used to be. having said that, ikey is the next logical choice. simple to configure, inexpensive and the developer listens to us...well worth the price of admission. |

ikey and default folder are my two favorite extensions for OS X. the functionality of ikey rivals quickeys (also an excellent program) at a much better price. i work in a print production environment and ikey saves me much time and aggravation. though i have experienced a few crashes and problems related to using ikey, i must say that over the past 10 years every extension i used regularly has occasionally required troubleshooting, with ikey i have always been able to solve problems with little effort, and often other system extensions or errors have been to blame. in short, yay ikey. |

Very happy using this app now - I used Youpi Key for ages, and I'm happy to pay a bit for something that has a broader, smoother range of options. I'm especially happy using the script running option - I thought it didn't support OSAX's, but it turned out that what it didn't support was my typos. |

I'm a user of iKey 1 and I tried iKey 2 last night again. It was a nightmare! Very confusing and even slow. I'm really worried that, with Tiger coming up, iKey 1 will stop working. DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ABOUT WHAT APPLICATION I COULD MIGRATE TOO? I tried Butler, but it doesn't have all the features of iKey. |
