“Install.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image. This item is on the disk image “Adobe_Photoshop_2023_v24.2_HCISO_macfiles.org.dmg”. File Multi Tool 6 downloaded this disk image on an unknown date.

It installs ok but as others have said the blank black “Save” screen makes it impossible to save a file making this version useless. Hopefully HCISO can come up with a work around for this.

I was able to solve this. You have to download the Adobe Creative Cloud app from the official website(during the installation uncheck the part where they ask you if you want to download something to check if your software is geniune of course)
I had my internet turned off after I installed Creative Cloud and ran the PS installation and it worked fine. (you still have to follow all the steps mentioned above to install, put the Install folder in the desktop, run the command line in the terminal etc.)
After PS was installed completley I deleted Creative Cloud completley before patching (not sure if this matters but I did it this way just in case) Deleteing Creative Cloud is a pain in the ass because a ton of files stay on your computer when you just delete the app, and background processes keep running. I had to use an app called Cleaner One Pro to remove all the files, but it’s paid so maybe there is a better way of doing it, I suggest you research it if you don’t want to pay. Another user here said they used Macbooster 8 which is also paid. After completley uninstalling Creative Cloud I ran the patch and PS worked fine! I only turned the internet back on after running PS for the first time just to make sure, but again I’m not sure if this is necessary. It’s just a precausion

I’ve done what’s suggested on this page and here’s the situation:
Problem – 1: The installer does not work.
Suggestion: “Download version 24.2 from Creative Cloud and apply the patch.”
I downloaded the application from Creative Cloud and applied the patch. I uninstalled Creative Cloud when I was finished.
Problem – 2: After running for a short time, the application displays the following message:
“Sorry, this Adobe app is not available. To continue using this Adobe app, check your internet connection, firewall or ad blocker settings.”
Suggestion: Add the line “127.0.0.0.1 vcorzsld2a.adobe.io” to the host file.
I added this IP via Terminal and saved it.
However, the error message from problem 2 reappeared and the application closed.
I think we are lost.

for the people have the damage issue with installer.app
1. install the AntiCC inside the [PATCH] folder
2. You have to move the [INSTALLER] folder into your computer
3. run “sudo xattr -cr /Users/yourusername/Desktop/\[INSTALLER\]/Install.app ”
just drag it to copy exact path instead up copying what i have up there.
4. Right click Install and open it to run it
5. install the Adobe Photoshop 24.2 [K].pkg inside the [PATCH]

just to reiterate some tips
You must right click on the files and click open in order to get things going, and also have antiCC or adobe desktop installed prior.
You will also need to change some flags on the main file by using terminal so that macOS doesn’t think that its corrupted. Before you do this, copy the installer folder to your desktop, then open it and navigate to the Install.app
then in terminal, type “sudo xattr -cr [now drag the install.app file from the folder you copied onto your desktop into the terminal window and it will copy the file path to the command line]” then press enter. you will be prompted for your macOS password.
NOW you can go right click on installer.app, select open and it should launch.
BUT now you may be getting notifications after initiating the install that certain components can’t be opened because they can’t be verified. When this happens, for the next hour, inside your system settings app under the Privacy and Security tab, there will be a text box that indicates you were trying to open an unverified file, and inside the box there’s an option to “allow anyway” or something to that effect. If you select that, then go try the installer again, it should go through. If another file throws an error, just repeat the process in system settings app until the installer can fully complete.

For me, I had the same problem. The solution was to uninstall it, and then re-install it as a trial from the Desktop CC. Once installed, I opened Photoshop, which worked perfectly in trial mode, including neural.
I exited the program, and ran the patch. Opened Photoshop again, and it works, no pop ups to say it’s not available. The only thing that doesn’t now work is neural, as the patch prevents that part from phoning home

If you’re still getting message “app is damaged and cannot be opened” try:
In terminal type:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /path/to/app.app
replace “/path/to/app.app” with the install file path

Installation works but then app doesn’t work properly*
For the installation to take place, you must do the following, which has already been explained previously:
1) Mount the Adobe Photoshop disk image: Adobe_Photoshop_2023_v24.2_HCiSO
2) Copy the entire [INSTALLER] folder to the desktop
3) Open the Terminal application on your computer and type: “sudo xattr -cr”, without quotes
4) HIT THE SPACEBAR ONCE
5) Drag the “Install” application into the Terminal window
6) Press enter and then type your computer’s password.
And now you can start installing the new version of Photoshop.

*The problem is that, when we create a NEW FILE, there is no possibility to save it because the save window appears completely black.

This is a known issue with 24.2 and was fixed in 24.2.1 the workaround is to export as layers psd and then re open that and you will then get the dialogs.

1. I have deleted Creative Cloud and all its files via MacBooster 8.
2. I used MacBooster to cancel the Adobe/Creative Cloud files that are activated on startup.
(These remain in the system after the uninstall).
3. I disconnected the internet before turning on the PS2023 (24.0)
4. I started the PS2023 and left the internet disconnected for a few minutes.
5. I turned on the Internet connection and PS2023 worked fine for about 1 hour.

Go to Photoshop in the Menu, then Preferences, General. Go to Interface, then you can change at UI Language to your language. Click OK. Restart Photoshop

Don’t Reset Preferences! Very bad advise. Actually makes things worse. IF you do you’ll also get a black / blank open screen along with the black Save screen. And, you’ll loose all your PS prefs, brushes etc.

Installs fine, but after about one minute, I get the message: “Save changes to the Adobe Photoshop document before quitting?”, if a document is open. Otherwise, it just hangs, freezes, and quits. Can anyone please shed some light on this? Same thing happens with Premiere, but not with Audition, After Effects, Illustrator, and Acrobat.

Using TextEdit:
1. Open TextEdit on your Mac. You can find it in your Applications folder or by searching for it in Spotlight.
2. Click on “File” in the menu bar and select “Open”. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut “Command + O”.
3. In the “Open” dialog box, navigate to the “etc” folder by selecting “Go” from the menu bar, choosing “Go to Folder”, and typing “/etc” in the field. Press “Go”.
4. In the “etc” folder, scroll down and select the “hosts” file. You can double click on the file to open it in TextEdit.
5. Add or remove the desired entries to the hosts file using the following format:

[IP address] [host domain]
“`
For example, to add an IP address for the domain “example.com”, the entry would look like:

192.168.1.1 example.com
“`
6. Save the changes made to the hosts file by clicking “File” in the menu bar, then selecting “Save” or “Save As”. We recommend saving a backup of the original file by adding “.bak” to the end of the file name (for example, “hosts.bak”). This will create a backup copy of the original file.
7. Lastly, exit TextEdit by clicking on “Text Editor” in the menu bar and selecting “Quit TextEdit”.
Using Terminal:
1. Open Terminal on your Mac. You can find it in your Applications folder or by searching for it in Spotlight.
2. In the Terminal window, type “sudo nano /etc/hosts” and press Enter. This will open up the hosts file in the Nano text editor.
3. Enter your Mac administrator password when prompted.
4. Add or remove the desired entries to the hosts file using the following format:

For example, to add an IP address for the domain “example.com”, the entry would look like:

5. After making the desired changes, press “Control+O” to save the changes to the file. Then press “Enter”.
6. Finally, press “Control+X” to exit Nano.
That’s it! You have successfully edited your Mac’s host file using both TextEdit and Terminal.

Hello, thanks, Photoshop worked for me. Could you help me with the installation of Ligtroom? I have the latest version of this site for Mac. 11.5 classic with Monterey 12.6. Although I tried in various ways, I can’t get ‘Develop Module’ to work for me.

To fix “Save as” issue, delete the following file:
/Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop 2023 Settings/UIPrefs.psp
