MacPulse, a system monitoring tool designed for macOS Sonoma, Sequoia, and Tahoe.
Completely reimagines the traditional Activity Monitor to help users understand the running status of their Mac in English-only through the innovative Insights Engine. The software automatically analyzes system patterns, providing clear and easy-to-understand summaries and actionable suggestions, so that users are not bogged down by jargon but directly receive clear guidance on “what happened” and “what to do.” MacPulse supports recording high-resolution performance sessions, capturing comprehensive metrics such as CPU, GPU, memory, temperature, fan speed, and FPS at 1-second intervals during intensive tasks such as gaming, rendering, or debugging, followed by detailed post-analysis. The seven modules are integrated into a beautiful and unified dashboard, including CPU monitoring to distinguish between P-cores and E-cores, memory composition and pressure display, network monitoring with IP addresses and notifications, disk monitoring with SMART health, temperature and fan control, battery health and Bluetooth device battery tracking, as well as GPU utilization and unified memory monitoring. The historical analysis function persistently stores all data points in the SQLite database, allowing users to view 24-hour, 7-day, or 30-day trends and intelligently downsample. The menu bar status item offers four display modes, including icons, text, mini-line charts, and more, keeping your system overview at your fingertips. The desktop WidgetKit widget shows system health with an average of 5 minutes. Insights Engine mines patterns such as thermal throttling, memory pressure trends, battery anomalies, and disk growth predictions based on 30-day historical data, and provides recommendations in natural language. Performance sessions support unlimited recording, CSV export, and session comparison, fan controls allow for custom curves, and menu bar pop-ups display mini-meters, top-level processes, network intelligence, SMART status, and power sensor readings. MacPulse is developed using Swift and SwiftUI, occupying very low system resources, CPU usage is less than 1%, memory occupation is less than 50MB, is a Mac system insight tool that can be easily mastered by professional and ordinary users.
